The 2nd Regular Conference of PANE was held at Cotton College, Guwahati on 28th October 2000. The event brought together physicists, researchers, and students from across the region, further strengthening PANE’s mission to promote collaborative scientific growth in North-East India.
One of the major highlights was the keynote address by Prof. K.D. Krori, who delivered an insightful lecture titled “Hundred Years of Quantum Mechanics.” His talk offered a reflective overview of the century-long journey of quantum theory, underlining its transformative role in modern physics and its ongoing relevance in current scientific exploration.
