About NEIPTS 2025

The Physics Academy of the North East (PANE) is proud to present the second edition of the North East India Physics Talent Search (NEIPTS) 2025 Examination. This examination is open to students in classes IX, X, XI, and XII.

Key Dates and Information

• Application Last Date: Last date is extended to October 15, 2025

• Exam Date: November 9, 2025

• Registration Fee: ₹200, which is to be paid to the Centre Coordinator.

• The exam will be held at more than 50 centers across the North East.

Examination Details

The NEIPTS 2025 exam has two stages:

• Stage I: MCQ based: This stage is a multiple-choice question exam modeled after national and international competitive examinations.
  10 center toppers will be selected from each center.
  10 state toppers will be selected from each state.
  100 finalists, including the state toppers, will be selected for the next stage. (In addition, exclusively for Classes IX and X, 10 outstanding young performers will be selected for special awards.)

• Stage II: Interview: 10 toppers from the entire North East will be selected during this stage.

Advantages and Rewards

Participants in NEIPTS 2025 receive several benefits:

• Preparation: Students will receive pre-examination teaching to help them clarify physics concepts. These sessions are led by teachers from IITs, universities, and other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

• Awards:
  Cash awards will be given to the North East India toppers.
  Future academic assistance will be provided to the North East India toppers.
  The registration fee for the National Standard Examination in Physics (NSEP) 2025 will be reimbursed to the North East India toppers, along with guidance for the exam. The NSEP is the only qualifying examination for the International Physics Olympiad.
